YCC Mufti Day - FRIDAY 8 JULY
Each year Caritas combines with Catholic schools across New Zealand as together we stand in solidarity and raise funds and awareness for a selected focus school.
YCC Day is the day when thousands of young people across New Zealand gather together in solidarity for a good cause and have fun by wearing non-uniform for the small cost of a gold coin.
We come together to bring about lasting change for a school who may not enjoy the same privileges as ourselves.
For YCC Day in 2022, we are supporting Laura Vicuna School in Bethlehem.
Laura Vicuna School is a small school situated in the Holy Land.
The school began in 1988 and is in dire need of support to fix and repair toilets, purchase a new laptop and projector as well as round tables for small group learning activities.

Forget 'just surviving' the holidays - here are some ideas to help you and your family and whānau have fun and 'thrive'!
Your child needs the holidays to recharge their batteries and refresh themselves, ready for the next term. Holidays are also an opportunity to spend time with your child and have fun together.
Keep it simple, affordable and fun. The key is enjoying time with your child – it doesn’t have to be a chore or cost a lot of money.
Enjoy your break TIME together and we look forward to seeing you all refreshed in Term 3.

PTFA - FUNDRAISER!!!
We’re getting a new junior playground but we need your help!
SJS PTFA has organised a fundraiser and forms have been given out to your children. Please ask around your friends and family - there’s heaps of great prizes to be won. Any amount can be donated from $1 to $10 (or more) - people can sponsor as much as you can or wish.
Every sponsor goes into the draw for a prize! Extra forms are available from the office. Don't forget to get your forms in before Thursday 7 July (that means Wednesday at the latest)!!
We can't wait to see the faces of our junior students (and future students) when they are able to enjoy their new playground.
