Collaboration Snapshot
Digital Citizenship, Speed Dating, Screencastify, Curation, Research, Leadership, and More....
Here is a rundown from August:
- 240 Freshmen in Health classes engaged in conversations about healthy online relationships and came up with guidelines to prevent cyberbullying and hate speech
- 400+ students in AP Lit and Eng 9, 10, 11 participated in speed dating and found books they wanted to read!
- ERWC students learned how to search our databases more effectively through a librarian Screencastify
- Speech and Debate students used a curated resource list to prepare for a debate on the role of the SAT/College Board in college admissions
- SPED's FSP class toured the Library and checked out books
In the works:
- SPED and the Library are teaming up to provide Bookshare e-books to students with qualifying disabilities
- Student Government and the AnHS Library, in partnership with the Sac Library, are teaming up to provide students with e-Cards to access leadership books online
- AP Biology will be collaborating with the librarian as a guest teacher on Enzyme Function and Reaction Rates
- AP Gov and the Library are teaming up to provide students with Screencastify videos on how to use their new e-text effectively
- Drama and the Library are teaming up to conduct background research on the City of Antelope for a play
- Photo and the Library are teaming up on a copyright lesson
Resources and Tech for Your Classroom
New Resources Now Available: E-cards, Hoopla, and the Libby App
Want students to access a particular Sac Library database or ebook/audiobook for research papers, projects, or SSR?
Students will be able to access these resources, free of charge and without signing up, by using e-cards. E-books and audiobooks will be available through the Libby App and Hoopla, both accessible on students' Chromebooks. Students can add the Libby App from the Google Play Store since it is now District approved. Hoopla can be accessed directly from the website.
