3rd and 4th Grade Under the Direction of Mr. Ressler
"Music Counts Every Day" at HES - Each morning as we get the day started next week at HES we will be listening to a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Rodrigo.
The Concierto de Aranjuez is a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is Rodrigo's best-known work, and its success made him one of the most important Spanish composers of the twentieth century.
The music was inspired by the gardens at Palacio Real de Aranjuez, the spring resort palace and gardens built by Philip II at the end of the 16th century and rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century by Ferdinand VI. The music tries to take the listener to another place and time through the musical descriptions of the sounds of nature.
The guitar is used as a solo instrument in this music. Often it is used as part of a group of instruments to play rock and pop music.
The question this week is;
There are two types/styles of guitar that play in a rock or pop group, and one in this week's music. Can you name all three?
The answer to last week’s question:
The states are:
Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
As there are so many, if you got at least SIX of the states, you can collect the 2 bubbles/water drops.
