Conroe High School Tiger Tracks
January 9, 2021
Hello Conroe Tiger Families,
Happy New Year! Thank you for a great start to 2021. Our teachers and staff are so excited to see our students return to the building. We received many new students into buildings this week and we would like to welcome you. We will return to our normal schedule of Tiger Day on Monday, Gold Days on Tuesday and Thursday, and White Days on Wednesday and Friday this upcoming week. Here are some important reminders:
Covid Safety Precautions:
1) Please screen your student before allowing them to come to school. If your student has been in close contact with a person that has received a Covid Positive test result, or if your student is symptomatic, then please keep them at home.
2) Contact our schools’ clinics if your student has a Covid Positive Result or if they have had close contact with someone who has a Covid Positive Results.
3) Students must properly wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times with the exception of while eating lunch.
4) Please practice good hygiene practices by washing your hands and using hand sanitizer.
5) Practice social distancing when possible.
It is important that our in-person students are present in the building each day for every period unless they are sick. Our virtual students need to log in to each scheduled class and be active in the Canvas course. Virtual students should be active in all 7 courses on Monday, classes 1,3,5,and 7 each Tuesday and Thursday, and classes 2,4,5 and 6 each Wednesday and Friday. Please remember that 5th period meets every day. If your child is going to be absent, In-Person or Virtual, you need to be sure to contact our attendance office to clear up the unexcused absence. Remind your student to utilize the teacher’s attendance quiz button in each course. This will assist in record keeping and assist teachers in verifying course activity. Attendance and truancy notifications will continue to be sent home to both in-person and virtual students.
At the Ninth Grade campus, students can stay for afterschool tutorials with a pass from their teacher. Tutorials are made by appointment for both in person and virtual students. Information regarding Ninth Grade Campus tutorials can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_TjkTw8wqI-lRp9X2wubwsqhI8LLl6Au/view?usp=sharing
Students that have an appointment to stay for tutorials will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian at 3:30. Students that do not have a ride will need to register for the CISD Late Bus. Please register your student for the late bus here: https://apps.conroeisd.net/AlternativeTransportation/. Please go ahead and register today for the late bus service. Transportation will not allow you to ride a late bus when signing up for it on the same day.
