what you need to know about tuberculosis
Anyone exposed to someone with the disease on a day-to-day basis can get the bacteria in their system. It cause death to nearby tissue and can be fatal if left untreated. It is caused by a bacteria called mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is transmitted through the air and the only way to prevent it is by staying away from those who are infected. Treatment for it is antibiotics and it is occuring on a global scale.

Anyone is at risk but some people have higher risk factors such as
Anyone who lives with someone who has had an active TB infection. Poor or homeless people and anyone with diabettes, certain cancers, or HIV.
