Students may dress out of uniform on Friday in support of our hometown team! Dress down in your favorite Bills gear or red, white and blue clothing.

Together we collected $593 in last week's dress down day for Damar Hamln's charity, ChasingM's. The donation was sent via GoFundMe in honor of the students and faculty of DeSales Catholic School!

This morning we held a Spelling Bee for students in grades 3 through 8. Each grade was represented with an overall 22 impressive contenders.

Congratulations to Will Vona for his first place finish, 6th grader Mary Kate Souliske for taking 2nd and 4th grader, Margaret Manning for taking 3rd place! The top three will represent DeSales at the Diocesan competition.

On Saturday, January 28th from Noon until 2pm we will hold our Annual Open House. This is the day prospective families can come visit DeSales. We need help welcoming families and giving tours. If you can help, please consider signing up using the link below. Parents, students and alumni are invited to volunteer. Our Annual Open House for new or prospective families will be held on Saturday, January 28th from Noon until 2:00pm here at DeSales. If you know someone who may be interested in DeSales, please invite them to attend this Open House.

Protecting God’s Children is training conducted by VIRTUS, certified facilitators on the prevention of child sexual abuse. The training makes participants aware of the signs of abuse, the methods and means by which offenders commit abuse, and five easy steps one can use to prevent abuse.Individuals who wish to volunteer or work at DeSales must complete this training.

Are you ready to stand up and cheer? Learn the basics of cheerleading during a fun, interactive clinic taught by former Lockport High School cheer coach Ms. Middaugh, and cheer on the DeSales Basketball teams?

This program is for grades 6 / 7 / & 8.

This cheer opportunity will run on Fridays for closed practices

at DeSales, starting Friday January 27th, and ending on Friday

February 17th. Practices will run from 2:50pm-3:50pm.

We will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis de Sales with a school-wide Mass on Tuesday, January 24th at 9:40am. All are welcome to attend.

Join us for the February HSA Meeting on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00pm in the DeSales Cafeteria. All parents, grandparents and caregivers are invited and encouraged to attend.

The Foundation of the RC Diocese of Buffalo Catholic Education Luncheon will be held on Thursday, January 26th at The PowerHouse of Buffalo. As you all know, Karen Rahill was named the Diocese of Buffalo’s Distinguished Principal of the Year last week. She will be honored and formally awarded at this luncheon. Lunch tickets, sponsorships and tickets to a tuition raffle are available at FRCDB.org.
