Hello Graham Falcons!
I'm writing to you today from our District's School Improvement Planning day, where staff were busy working on next steps for Guided Reading and Summer Literacy, as well as team collaboration around Diversity and Equity Work, Social Emotional Learning, and End of Year Data Review.
On the administrative side of Graham, we've been busy preparing for the opening of Online Registration for the 2022-2023 school year! Starting on Monday, May 2nd, all families are able to begin submitting their registration for the upcoming school year utilizing the online system. Completing this required process as soon as possible is not only helpful for families who want it finished in time to enjoy the summer fun, but also is critical in helping Graham to better understand our enrollment numbers for the upcoming school year. These numbers impact many things, and is the basis with which we build out how we plan to serve students and our community, so please consider completing it at your earliest convenience.
Further information on the process can be found at links included in this newsletter. Questions regarding troubleshooting can also be forwarded to our Secretary Annie McIntosh at anna_mcintosh@ipsd.org. We just ask that you be patient with this process, as registration is an incredibly busy time for our office staff, and there may be a delay in returned calls or support requests.
Additionally, if you find that you will not be returning to Graham Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year (excluding promotion to Crone Middle School) please complete our Moving Notification Form and return it either via email or in person, to the front office as soon as possible.
Lastly, we are all looking forward to Teacher Appreciation next week, which the PTA always does a phenomenal job of facilitating, and we will be sure to include photos and thank you's from the week's festivities in next week's newsletter.
Have a wonderful weekend, and we'll see you on Monday!
Ms. Walton

On Tuesday, April 26th, Michelle Anderson and Nancy Goodfellow spoke to Graham students about intellectual disabilities and differences, as well as the the idea that the more a child understands, the more they accept. Michelle Anderson is a public speaker with Down syndrome, who speak to children about growing up with a disability and the opportunities she's had in her life. Nancy Goodfellow is a parent of a child with Down Syndrome and has been a public speaker and advocate for over 15 years.

A special thank you to Michelle Anderson, her mother Gail, Nancy Goodfellow, Mrs. Traynor, and Becky Thorn for a wonderful presentation!
