  • Chemotherapy- the use of medicines and drugs to try and treat cancer.

  • Radiation Therapy- the use of high energy particles to damage cancer cells.

  • Stem Cell Transplants- to transplant stems like bone marrow to treat cancer.


  • Self examinations of breast.
  • Regular checkups with doctor.
  • Not smoking or drinking.
  • Keeping a healthy weight.
  • Exercising regularly.

Tests For Diagnosis

  • Mammogram- an x-ray of the breast.
  • Ultrasound- uses sound waves to detect cancer in breast.
  • Biopsy- removing a sample of the breast to test for cancer.
