The Day I Turned Into a Cheetah
One day a girl named Jadyn was walking in the woods alone. It was a beautiful sunny day. There was a house in the middle of the woods. The house seemed very old. Maybe it was haunted. Jadyn dared herself not to enter it, but she couldn't help herself. She entered the spooky haunted house. She could hear scary noises everywhere. Also she could see ghosts and skeletons everywhere. Uh-oh there was a witch! The witch had a wand! The wand looked magical. Jadyn ran as fast as she could out of the house, but the witch said something before she made it out. When Jadyn came out of the house she wasn't a person any more, she was a cheetah! Jadyn tried to stand up like a normal person, but she fell back down. Jadyn would never be a human again. She was a cheetah and nobody could fix that, besides the witch, she could turn her back. Jadyn needed to get where the other cheetahs were. She knew that cheetahs weren't far from where she was. Jadyn just had to find where they were. She remembered driving past them thousands of times before, but she didn’t know which way to go. She looked left, then right. Jadyn decided to go left. Then she realized that she was an amazing runner. She ran and ran, and you know what she saw, cheetahs! Jadyn was tired and hungry. She tried to ask the other cheetahs “What’s for lunch?”, but all she heard was a purr. Jadyn could no longer talk, she was a cheetah and that was it. “Purr purr” The cheetahs went. “Purr purr” Said Jadyn. That meant it was time to eat. “WOW” Jadyn learned cheetah language fast. The other cheetahs lead Jadyn to a spot where prey was. Then left her alone, all by herself, alone! How did Jadyn know how to hunt. Besides she did just become a cheetah a couple hours ago. This was what she got. A huge gazelle caught her eye. She crouched down and when she was a few feet away from the animal, Jadyn pounced and ran toward her prey. You know what, she caught it! Jadyn brought her food to a rock and set it down. She wondered where the silverware were. “Oh yah. I’m a cheetah, we don’t use silverware.” She ate her food and that gazelle was filling. That night Jadyn couldn’t sleep. She missed her family and friends. At her house Jadyn’s parents were worried. The next morning Jadyn was going to find a way to turn herself back. She said bye, and headed back to the witches house. Jadyn hoped to get what she wanted. When Jadyn saw the house she was nervous, but also she felt brave, brave enough to talk to this witch. It was more spooky now than it was when she first entered the house. Jadyn saw the witch that had changed her into a cheetah. “Can you change me back into a human?” Jadyn asked. She could speak English in the magical witches house. “Oh was that you I turned into a cheetah. I thought you were an animal. I can turn you back.” Said the witch. With a few magic words the witch turned Jadyn back into a human. “Thank you.” Said Jadyn. “You can come back whenever you would like.” Said the witch. Jadyn went back home. She gave her parents a big hug. Then on when Jadyn went on her walk she stopped at the witches house. She never got put under a magic spell again.
