Recycling
DEN Connects. All about Recycling!
What Is Recycling?
Recycling is a process to change materials (waste) into new products, to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution and water pollution by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.
Concerns
Each year, Americans throw away millions of tons of paper, glass bottles, plastic containers, aluminum cans, yard clippings, and other types of solid wastes.
Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling
Reducing
Reducing is making less waste. (Example: The recycling company will turn the objects into something else which means they are taking that and making something else out of it and it's taking all the waste to a minimum on earth.
Reusing
Reusing in recycling means to use it then to use it, again. Example: The kid drank out of the glass bottle and used it for water later.
Recycling
Recycling is when you have an object (paper, aluminum, etc.) and you reuse it, take it to a local recycling company, or reduce it.
Where We Got Them
Where We Got Our Pics
We got our pics from Flickr.com. We got the pictures from them because they were good looking and really awesome to make this project look better. The pictures we chose were from The Commons, because they are copyriighted for free use.
