Teacher Appreciation Week!
Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week 2019 and #ThankATeacher with us May 6-10!
Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom—“Out of This World.”
They play a pivotal role in our children’s lives, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery and making a difference in their well-being and long-term success.
We are proud to work alongside our amazing teachers every day and thank them for all they do for our students!!!! Often this great work goes unheralded or unrecognized. Please take a moment to thank a teacher next week.

National School Nurse Day
Since 1972, National School Nurse Day has been set aside to recognize school nurses.
National School Nurse Day was established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting.
National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurse Week. This year, School Nurse Day is May 8, 2019.
We thank our Nurse, Renee Prince for all she does for our students, families, staff, and school community.
Congratulations Jacqueline!!!
Jacqueline participated in the MathCON Finals in Chicago this past Saturday and was awarded an Honorable Mention medal (4th Place).
MathCON is a national math competition consisting of an online qualifying exam and a final exam. Those who qualify on the first part based on their scores are invited to participate at the finals that take place in Chicago. For example, last year of the approximately 43,000 students who participated nationally in grades 5 – 12, only 500 qualified for the finals.
The final exam in Chicago consists of 40 questions in 100 minutes.
The first time she qualified for the finals was as a 4th grader. Since there was no 4th grade test, she took the 5th grade exam and qualified.
More information on MathCON can be found at:- http://www.mathcon.org/about-2019/
