Current Studies and Explorations

Students are refining their qualitative and quantitative observation skills and incorporating mathematics to study their very own grow creatures. Each student is in the process of designing his or her own unique experiment based on a question he or she poses about the grow creature, and students will collect authentic data over the next few weeks. We will also be incorporating reading and writing as we share in related fiction and non-fiction texts and as students communicate their plans and findings related to their individual experiments.

Parents, if you haven't checked out your child's portfolio recently, I encourage you to do so! I'm sure you'll enjoy talking with your child about his or her recent discoveries in class.
