What are Rainforests?
A rainforest is a biome of trees and animals. It has unique species of animals as well. It has different layers, and interesting aswell as colourful animals.
What Makes A Rainforest
Rainforests are full plants and animals unique species compared to other animals that you will not find in any normal place like the zoo or your back yard.
Different types of rainforests
There are two types of rainforests temperate rainforests and tropical rainforests. Tropical rainforests are warm and humid yet temperate ones are cold and wet.
Layers of Rainforest
There are four layers of a rainforest. The emergent layer, the canopy layer, the understory layer and the forest floor. Different types of animals live in different parts of these layers.
Location of a rainforest
Rainforests are located in South America, Australia Engaland and Papa New Guinia. The rainforests near equator are tropical, and the rainforests near the Arctic and Antarctica are Temperate.
Animals of the Rainforest
Toucan
Toucans are located in Central and South America. They eat small fruit and somethimes insects.
Red Eyed Tree Frog
The Red-Eyed Tree Frog is located in Southern Mexico, Central America Costa Rica, Honduras and
Panama, and Northern South America.
It eats crickets and other insects.
Black Caiman
The Black Caiman is located South America near the Amazon. It eats fish, turtles, brids and other large mammals.
