Ancient Chinese Achievements
How They Impact Our Society Today
Paper
Paper has a big impact on our society. It is a writing material we use everyday. We use it in school to write notes, we use it at home to remind ourselves of something. It is like a back-up for our brains if we forget a certain thing. It's right there to help our brains. Without it, we probably would forget a lot of things, and not remember them later.
Cast-Iron Plow
The cast-iron plow also has a big impact on our society. The cast-iron plow broke up soil more efficiently than wooden plows could. With the help of new iron tools and techniques, more land could be used for farming. This meant more people could provide their families with food, and that could lead to a bigger population. Without the cast-iron plow, we probably wouldn't be able to have the seemingly endless amount of food that we have.
Acupuncture
Another achievement that has a big impact on our society is acupuncture. Acupuncture is the process of inserting fine needles in vital points to treat disease or relieve pain. This could have been one of the few treatments available back then. If the Chinese hadn't developed acupuncture, we probably would have had a lot of sick and weak people, not to mention few ways to treat the sick people.
Without he three achievements mentioned above, I don't think our society would be a thriving or happy one. There would be sick people all over the place. There would be less amounts of food made and a lesser population. There would be angry people because someone forgot to do something for them. Bu thank goodness the Chinese did develop these things. I helps us so much in our lives.
