TIGER TRIBUNE
The explosion last Friday destroyed the home of one of our HSE families. We are hosting a donation drive this week to assist this family in their recovery. See flyer for ways to help and for more information.
Attention All 8th Grade Parents!
HSE is partnering with Workforce Solutions to offer our 8th-grade students' career exploration classes beginning in January. These classes will provide our students with an in-depth opportunity to discover more about themselves and the world in which they live.
The goal of these workshops is to aid students in thinking beyond the present and giving them tools to become mature, responsible, and caring adults capable of participating in a global society. To achieve each student’s full potential, these classes will delve into areas of personal accountability, leadership, decision-making, and career development.
Please see the outline of the next classes. https://drive.google8thgradecareers.com/file
Classes will be held after school from 3:15-4:30 p.m. on the following dates:

Judges Needed-HSE Middle School STEAM Fair
The HSE Science Department is in search of judges to participate in the 2020 Middle School STEAM Fair on Friday, January 31. Judges will meet at 8:00 a.m. for coffee/light breakfast and instructions and judging begins at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Science Fair Judges will be evaluating 6th-8th grade students on their STEAM projects, such as reviewing poster boards and prototype demonstrations as well as interviewing students about their projects. Parents and relatives of students are permitted to be judges – we will ensure there is no conflict of interest with that student’s project.
If interested in volunteering, complete the registration form at tinyurl.com/2020MSJudgeReg.
This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of HSE’s amazing students and support them in their educational endeavors. No judging experience is necessary; however, volunteers should have knowledge of and love for the sciences. Should you have any questions, you can email me at dfarrar@harmonytx.org.
