Principals Message
AHS Parents and Students,
We are getting very close to the end of a great school year. I would like to personally thank everyone for your continued support of our teachers and staff at AHS. I would also like to CONGRATULATE the Class of 2023 for all the hard work and determination they have shown during this year and previous years in school. I am so excited and honored to see these wonderful students walk across the stage on Tuesday night!!

Mandatory Graduation Practice
- MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE will be on Tuesday, May 23 @ 9:45 a.m. Students will need to report to the AHS Gymnasium. You DO NOT wear your cap and gown to practice.
- Graduates will receive their 14 tickets after practice. SIX of the tickets will allow admission at 6:30 and EIGHT will allow admission at 6:55.
- In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be held at the same time and on the same day in the Austin High School gymnasium. Only SIX guests will be allowed per graduate if the ceremony is inside. If rain comes during the program and we are in the stadium, we will not move to the gym. We will finish the program as quickly as possible.
- If you have not turned in your DCS Chromebook, you MUST bring it to graduation practice to be checked in to our technology department.
Austin Graduation Information
- Austin High School will hold graduation on Tuesday, May 23rd starting at 7:30 p.m.
- Admission to graduation will be by ticket only.
- Gates will open at 6:30 pm and will close promptly at 7:25 pm.
- No one will be admitted after 7:25 pm.
- Water will be sold in the concession stand from 6:30 pm - 7:25 pm.
- No balloons, signs, umbrellas (rain caps or ponchos are fine), air horns, or anything which will block vision or make loud noises will be allowed during the program.
Sophomore and Junior Chromebook Information
- Sophomores and Juniors will keep their chromebooks and chargers through the summer and use again in the Fall.
- SORA, the e-book app, is available for you to use all summer on your chromebooks.
- Make sure to take good care of your devices while we are out of school.
Senior Yearbook AD
SENIORS: You/your parents and guardians have until May 19th to purchase an ad in the 2023 yearbook!
Steps:
1) Visit YearbookOrderCenter.com
2) Put in school code 17655
3) Click "Yearbook Ads" in the top right corner
4) Decide what size ad you want:
- Full page = $125
- Half page = $100
- 1/4 page = $75
- 1/8 page = $50
5) Click "
Student" and now type in your name; click it when it pops up, and click "
Done"
6) Click "
Ad Type Selection" and choose one of the following:
- I Want To Use Online Ad Creation (you create it - RECOMMENDED)
- I Want To Use School Ad Creation (the yearbook staff creates it)
- If you are having the yearbook staff create it, photos/messages must be submitted no later than May 1, 2023.
7) Create an account so you can save your designs/uploads, and start putting your ad together!
