New Year, New You?

Happy New Year from the WMS Counseling Department! As the new year begins, encourage your student to commit to a fresh start. Did homework become an issue before the holidays? Create a reward system to promote independent homework skills. Whatever the goal is, encourage your students to give 110% this year!

Teens for Jeans Drive

Cleaning out your closet? On Wednesday February 11th, the WMS Student Council and Beta Club will be teaming up to collect gently used or new jeans! All jeans will be donated to teens battling homelessness. If students bring in a pair of jeans on Wednesday February 11th, students will be allowed to wear JEANS that same day (February 11th).

Explore Test Results

Ms. Cook met with all 8th grade students on Thursday January 15th to review their Explore test results. The results will help students plan for high school, college and future careers. Students will be given their Explore test books and results. For more information, visit www.explorestudent.org

National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week 2015, "Celebrate School Counseling," will be celebrated from Feb. 2-6, 2015, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
