LMCJS Weekly Updates 8/21/2017
Happy Solar Eclipse Day!
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT IS COMING!
Returning Scholars: Wednesday August 23, 2017 from 6-8pm
Don't forget to turn in the permission slip to see STEP! and our RPCS Field Day by Weds. 8/23/17!
MTA Bus Expectations
It has come to our attention that behavior from MTA bus riders has been less than exemplary from our scholars. Please take a minute to speak with your scholar regarding expectations for riding the bus to and from school.
Scholar are an extension of our school and how they act directly affects our school at all times.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and holding our scholars accountable.
High School Choice! (7th and 8th grade parents)
Infractions have started!
This means that if your scholar is out of uniform in ANY WAY, you will receive an infraction that needs to be signed and returned to school the following day.
This also means that if your scholar is caught on her cell phone during any part of the school day, it will be confiscated and brought to the front office. A parent or guardian is required for its retrieval. You will also receive an infraction that needs to be signed and returned the next day.
We understand that scholars don't always bring notes home, which is why we will send an email to you explaining what happened before the infraction comes home. Please be vigilant with your email so that you are the first to receive important communication from the school.
Medications
Medications include: Advil, Asthma inhalers, EpiPens for allergies, even Halls cough drops!
All medication should be BRAND NEW, and if prescription, must have the scholars full name on the label and be unopened. You can obtain a school prescription from your scholar's doctor's office. If it's over the counter medication, it also has to be unopened with your scholar's name written on it.
