'Fall'ing into the Routine!
Dear Ridge Wood Families,
The leaves are changing, and the colors are looking beautiful. It’s a great time of year to enjoy Michigan. I hope this newsletter finds everyone well.
Our 'Future Michigan Leaders' are thinking, analyzing, creating, and putting forth their best efforts! We set high expectations for all of our students, and with our support & guidance, they can achieve a lot!
Halloween is just around the corner, and I want to remind all of our families my expectations of appropriate costume dress. I want the children to be creative and to have fun, but no costume can have toy weapons or objects that resemble weapons. Also, costumes need to be comfortable and children must be able to dress themselves.

7 Habits Booster.....
Do you know what the ‘7 Habits’ are?
Here is a quick reminder…
- Be Proactive: Have a ‘ Can Do’ attitude
- Begin with the End in Mind: Plan ahead and set goals
- Put First Things First: Set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan
- Think Win-Win: Everyone can be a success
- Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Listen to each other
- Synergize: Working together is better
- Sharpen the Saw: Take care of your mind, body and soul
Ask your student which habit is their favorite. Our students continue to learn and practice these habits throughout their day.
This year's school wide theme is - "Future Michigan Leaders!"

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures
Please share the attached document with anyone that participates in our drop-off or pick-up. These expectations are for our student's safety, and it is vital that EVERYONE follows the guidelines! Also, I would appreciate it if everyone would refrain from using their cell phones while driving through parking lot - our children deserve your undivided attention. Finally, during our drop-off & pick-up times, left hand turns are not permitted - a new sign will be coming soon!
