Life of Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl was born in Wales to Norwegian parents on September 13, 1916. He spent his early years in Llandaff. In !930, his father and oldest sister died. He went to many different schools like Llandaff cathedral, and St. Peters. He worked for Shell Oil in 1934 but because of World War II he wanted to join the Air Force. An accident happens and he is no longer able to fly planes, so he picks up writing. His first short story was published in 1946. In 1951, he meets his soon to be wife, Patricia Neal. They had 3 daughters and a son together but the oldest daughter died in 1962. Roald and Patricia separated in 1981 after she suffered many strokes. Roald died on November 23, 1990 and his works are flourished all over the world. Roald Dahl day is celebrated on September 13 so people can celebrate his life.

Many important events have happened over Roald Dahl's life span. In 1920, his dad and oldest sister died. In August 1942, he completed his first short story. In 1951, he met his soon to be wife Patrica Neal who he later married on July 2, 1953. He then had 4 kids, daughter Olivia (1955), daughter Tessa (1957) son Theo (1960), and daughter Ophelia (1964). He also suffered the loss of Olivia in 1962. He also separated from his wife in 1981 after she suffered a series of strokes. Roald then died on November 23, 1990.
