Metamorphosis/Transformation of man

How it applies to people

Metamorphosis in life

when I think of metamorphosis, the first thing that comes to mind is the process of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. After looking at many pieces of literature, it was very interesting to see how the theme could be applied to many more things other than the scientific side of things. I learned that A human can go through the same kind of things throughout there life. From the time they are born to the time they die, they are constantly transforming. Whether its there morals, thoughts, or the way they handle personal relationships. Its all A form of transformation.

After reading all of the literature. Everything from scientific articles, to poems, songs, and short stories. You can see A slight difference when talking about the metamorphosis of a human compared to another animal. When you apply the metamorphosis theme to humans it is more of a metaphor, they are not actually changing into another form its for the most part you morals and how you come off to people. When you apply it to things like a butterfly, its more of a literal thing because they physically change into something completely different.

"Before turning into a butterfly, a caterpillar wraps itself in a chrysalis. But what goes on within that casing during the weeks it takes the insect to transform is still a bit of a mystery to science."

(Revealing Metamorphosis, Kate Yandall, 2013)

If you want to shrink something,
You must first allow it to expand.
If you want to get rid of something,
You must first allow it to flourish.
If you want to take something,
You must first allow it to be given.
This is called the subtle perception
Of the way things are.

(Tao Te Ching)

This quote applies more to the transformation of man. It talks about how a man must live and learn and fail before he can truly flourish in life.
