Book Fair is HERE!
We are having our Spring Book Fair – Friday, Friday, January 20th -Monday, January 30th. The first chance to shop will be at our Grand Opening on Friday, January 20th from 3:30-4:30. We will be open for Family Night Tuesday, January 24th from 3:30-6:30. Students must always be accompanied by an adult when shopping during special events.
Students will shop during the school day with their library/computer class during the week of January 23rd-January 27th. We will be open until noon on Monday, January 30th for individuals to shop if needed.
Parents, relatives, and friends are always invited to shop. If you are unable to shop with your student this is a great time for our students to show they are responsible Gators.
Please be sure that your student understands how much they can spend and what is acceptable to purchase. We are working to be a cashless book fair. You can create an e-Wallet for your student by following the directions below.
If your student had eWallet funds from the Fall Fair you must login to your account and move those funds to our Spring Fair.
How do I set up an eWallet?
1. Visit your schools Book Fair Homepage: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/greentreeelementaryschool3
2. Scroll down to the BEFORE THE FAIR section, and click on the “Get Started” in the
eWallet box.
3. Be sure that it is your schools name that appears on the next screen. Scroll down this
page to read about how eWallet works and what happens to unused funds after the fair
is over.
4. Click the Create EWallet red button.
5. Sign into your existing Scholastic Account or Create a new account.
6. Follow the steps to create and fund your child’s eWallet. Enter your students name as
the Recipient’s name and include your students’ teacher name if you have it, but it is
not required. You will also have the option after entering the students name to share
the eWallet funding link to family and friends who can use the link to directly add funds
to your student’s eWallet.
PRO TIP: If you have 2 children at 1 school, create Separate eWallets for each child!!
7. Print off the eWallet barcode to send with your child for shopping (this is recommended but not required) **Unused Funds of $3 or less will be donated to All for Books and go directly to purchasing books for our school.
8. Happy Shopping!! Your child will love the self-selection freedom they get to enjoy!
9. Your eWallet can also be used online to shop via your schools homepage
10. When the fair is over any unused funds will be automatically transferred to an eGift card that can be used across Scholastic online platforms or saved and used to fund a new
eWallet on the next school fair.
What if I created an eWallet at our last fair and have a balance I want to “roll over” to this fair?
1. Follow all instructions above to create a new eWallet. Every eWallet has to be tied
directly to a specific fair ID in order for the eWallets to show on the registers. Your
leftover balance from the last fair was converted from eWallet funds onto an eGift Card
in your Scholastic online account.
2. When you get to the funding portion of the eWallet it will have a box letting you know
that you have an eGift Card tied to your account and you simply check the box that you
would like to add your eGift Card balance to your new eWallet.
3. You can also add additional funds at this stage as well as share your link with family and friends, and/or post on social media. Inviting others to add to your child’s eWallet is a
great way to include all those that are special in your child’s life have the opportunity to
give the gift of reading!
4. Be sure you are logging into the same Scholastic account that you used when setting up your last eWallet.
Book Fair is a library fundraiser and we appreciate you supporting this event. Funds made from this event are used to purchase books and educational materials for our students and staff.
