About Meter Poems.
Meter poems are poems with either two or three syllables per segment. Meter poems are kind of like music, you have a certain number of beats per measure, with meter poems, you have a certain number of syllables per segment.
A Meter Poem
All I could see from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood; -Edna St. Vincent Millay's "Renascence"

There are five kinds of Meter poems.
- iambic
- trochaic
- spondaic
- anapestic
- dactylic
Anapestic and dactylic are the only two kinds of Meter poems that go by intervals of three. My poem example is an iambic poem.
