Who Is Carla Brown?

Carla Brown taught for 10 years for Norfolk Public Schools in Norfolk, Virginia. She currently teaches in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Brown has also taught Public Speaking at Tidewater Community College. She was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia where she graduated from Norview High School in 1997.


She attended Norfolk State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. Ms. Brown later attended Cambridge College where she received a degree in School Administration. She has two sons Malik McCray and Eric Brown Jr.


Carla is also a co-founder/owner of the Divine Kreations Publishing Company. The encouragement of her late husband was the catalyst for the creation of Divine Kreations Publishing Company. The first novel, Married, But Single, was published in June of 2015, which is co-authored by Alethia Parson-Speller. Since that time that novel has spun three additional novels for that series. Due to the passing of her husband, she wrote the novel “Suddenly Single” in 2016.


Divine Kreations Publishing has made the dream of authorship possible for three other authors since the start in 2015. They have also published the following titles: “Broken by Default”, “Keeping My Options Open”, and Confessions. She also co-authored, “Situationship” which was published February of 2017.
