Weekly Bulletin
~June 1-5 - Week 37~
Principal Feedback Survey
All staff members received a survey that I typically send to the teachers/staff that I evaluate the current year.
I would like to extend this survey to the rest of the school staff; your feedback will not only provide me with data on the areas that I may be doing well but most importantly, it will provide data on the areas that I need to work on to ensure that I build a trusting safe & collaborative school environment.
Your input is critical to ensure any areas of growth on my end are taken into consideration.
This is the 8th year that I've done this with my staff & although some of the data is at time difficult to come to terms with, I am extremely grateful & humble for the opportunity to grow, improve, & learn from my mistakes.
This is a trying job & I recognize that my decisions at times do not go well with some & that I make mistakes. I do not expect for every decision to a popular one, but know that every decision I make is with our vision, children, & community in mind and through a collective process.
I invite you to be an active participant & voice the areas that you feel worked, did not work, or any areas that you would like to voice. The survey is completely anonymous, so fear not of any retaliation.
I look forward to the data!
Assessements!

Collaboration Notes-Not submitted
We are all very overwhelmed with a lot of work; I can surely understand.
Nevertheless, if you are getting paid to collaborate it is your responsibility to submit your collaboration notes. I have checked quite a few grade levels & some of you have not updated your collaboration folder since early April.
If you submitted your OT/ET sheets to get paid, then you also are required to submit your notes. Please send me a copy of your notes by the end of the month.
I am confident that you will address this responsibility by the end of the month.
Your feedback required: Playworks Survey
Playworks values your feedback and need to know how we can improve. Please take some time to answer this brief survey.

PAST DUE: EOY SLCs
*Also submit your SLC grade level plan was due to Beatrice on Friday, May 29th. Please submit the plan no later than Monday, June 1st.
Please note that the expectation is that you hold SLCs for all of your students but at minimum for your intensive students. We recognize that there are limitations with the time constraints for being the last week of the school year. Nevertheless, please begin posting your parent sign ups right away so that the families begin making arrangements.
ALL teachers must do the following for students in your intensive/intervention (in reading &/or math) groups before the end of the school year:
1. hold SLCs, parent conferences, or home visits
2. provide the families with a summer reading skills packet, reading logs, &/or math work
3. RazKids log-in & password
4. Copy of the students' latest assessment scores
A letter to all families is posted outside your classroom. Some classes are missing the SLC parent sign up sheet outside your classroom & parents have inquired about how to sign up. Please ensure that a sign up sheet is posted outside your classroom by no later than Monday, June 1st.
Thank you to those that have placed the sign-up sheet!

EOY Deliverables for Committees
As per the Principal's Thursday meeting with our Network Superintendent, we were informed & highly encourage to pick our own ILT & not be a committee. Therefore, I endorse that recommendation & will be reaching out to staff members that I choose to be in it. As a result, this will be a monthly stipend commitment of two hours.
This conversation came about due to the district's expectations to submit our committees & committee description as a deliverable by June 19th. Please click on the link to begin signing up. A copy of these committees will also be available in the staff lounge.
Furthermore, because we were awarded the Blended Learning grant from the Roger's Foundation, we also need a Technology Committee to develop a tech plan & a blended learning plan/vision so I have added it as a committee.
The following is needed as EOY deliverable for committees:
