Winter Wonderland
Tonight is the Morgan Volunteers PTO Winter Wonderland Dance from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in the gymnasium. This is a free event for Morgan families at attend as a way for our PTO to say THANK YOU for all you do to support Morgan Elementary and all of our students. Each student that attends will receive a raffle ticket to win the big tower of candy. THANK YOU to Mrs. Felosak for organizing this event, and to the parents who helped decorate, organize, and run this event.
The PTO met last Tuesday evening at the Hamlin Pub for their monthly meeting. At the end of this year, three of the PTO Board members will be moving on with their children to the junior high level. Morgan is also losing parents who organize Bagel Day, volunteer as copy help, and serve as lunch monitors at the end of this year. If you enjoy all the things our PTO provides for Morgan students, help by volunteering to be a part of the PTO! The next meeting will be Monday, February 10, at 6:30 PM at the Hamlin Pub. Come learn more about serving as the President, Treasurer, Facebook manager, Bagel Day coordinator, Restaurant Night coordinator, and more. Our present members are willing to help any new volunteers with the transition into the leadership role throughout the remainder of the school year. Official elections will take place in April of this year for new officers. More information can be found on the Morgan Volunteers web page and Facebook pages.
Looking for something to do this weekend, check out the "Pop" Up Party at the Shelby Township Library on January 25, from 1:30 - 2:30 in the cafeteria. They will be featuring things that pop with activities, games, and snacks. Before you leave, check out a good book to share at home later.
Have a good week,
Mrs. Lasky
Osmos
Thanks to donations, Mr. DeLorenzo was able to purchase Osmos for the Learning Center. Morgan Elementary purchased iPads to use with the Osmos. Students were using the new technology this week along with our coding robots. Our kindergarten students were using their problem solving skills to get the robots to move around the building and the Osmos to work through challenges.
SAVE THE DATE!

Eisenhower NHS Tutoring
Parents may register their students by submitting a request located on our website:
http://ikenhs.weebly.com/eagle-tutoring.html.
This will allow us to prepare adequate tutors for each subject matter. We ask that parents complete the form by Sunday night each week in order to allow us to organize the correct number of NHS students.
Their goal is to provide a safe and productive environment for both students needing help and our NHS members offering their service. Additionally, a staff member will be on site every week checking in registered students and monitoring the sessions.
Looking for Lunch Monitors!
Looking for help on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays!
If you would be interested in helping in the lunchroom, please fill out a lunch monitor application with EduStaff. A link to the application can be found below. You will need to create an account, enter your information, complete some online training modules, and have a background check with finger prints. Then you can work as many lunch days as you would like and be paid for your help!
Several of our lunch monitors also complete additional training in EduStaff to serve as substitute paraprofessionals in our building. If you are interested in becoming a substitute paraprofessional, please use the EduStaff application process below.
If you have questions about becoming a lunch monitor or the online process, please contact Melissa Roth in our main office at 586-797-5800.
