Leyden hosts financial aid workshops
October 5 at West, 6 p.m.
October 12 at East, 6 p.m.
Applying for college financial aid is a graduation requirement and the process for families begins October 1. To receive federal financial aid, a student must be a citizen or eligible non-citizen of the United States with a valid social security number. To begin the process, visit studentaid.gov or the Leyden website (EAST) (WEST) for additional information, or attend one of the upcoming workshops for direct assistance.
Monthly community job fair for students
Leyden High Schools is hosting a series of job fairs for local employers needing to hire. Many companies are struggling to find individuals to fill hundreds of vacancies in companies across the area. To help address this problem, Leyden High School job fairs will be in-person events for high school aged candidates looking for job opportunities.

Leyden hosts vaccine clinic
On October 17, Leyden will host a community clinic offering vaccines for COVID-19 (boosters), Pneumonia, Tdap, Flu and Shingles. The clinic will be open 2 - 6 p.m. at West Leyden located at 1000 Wolf Road in Northlake and is open to all residents regardless of insurance or immigration status. The curtain set to rise on fall play
Starting October 14, something odd will be happening on the West Leyden stage! The Odd Couple, both the female and male versions, runs October 14-15 (male version) and 21-22 (female version), in the West Leyden auditorium. Neil Simon’s hilarious play features two mismatched roommates and all of the funnies that go along with it! Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for adults and are available online through the Leyden website link.
Cast includes: (Male Version) Daniela Castro, Armani Gennell, Korneliusz Kopera, Sonya Morales, Jairo Reina Perez, Oliver Prus, Dylan Ramirez and Alexander Suryovch; (Female Version) Mari Alvarez, Kathy De Jesus, Luna Diaz, Gianna Figueroa, Mia Herrera, Kaya Kozlowski, Des Morad and Roy Torres.
