St. Malachy - McKinley Park Day - September 19

On September 19 students in grades K-8 are going to spend the day at McKinley Park. This is a day of being active outside and building relationships. Students will tour the Historical Village and have a picnic lunch. Other activities will include, fishing, frisbee golf, soccer & canoeing.

Jan Lesan and Kathy Ralston are coordinating this event. They are needing about 8-10 more volunteers for the day.

The time frame will be roughly 9-1:45, and you’ll need to pack a sack lunch. Parents and/or Grandparents if you would like to volunteer please contact Kathy Ralston or Jan Lesan!

Student Shout outs are notes completed by faculty and staff highlighting the great things we see happening at STM. If you see an STM kid doing great things outside of school. Let Mrs. Simmons know and she will add them to the Shout Outs.

Kinsley K - Helping preschool students on the trolley (finding and buckling up) & Helping others who need help in Art

Melanie K - Downloaded and practiced her new band book and demonstrated how to play the flute for PK students.

Caden S - He got rid of a dead mouse in the closet ewww

Claire R - She straightened up the music room after band.

Rohwyn R - she ran ahead to open the door for Miss Steinkamp who had her hands full

Grant S- He held the door for the lower wing after school

Rhett, Kennedy, Sadie, Melanie, Taylor, Addison, Donald & Baret - They helped cut out all the laminated pictures

Hunter L & Kinsley K - helped pick up zip ties and trash on the playground during recess
