Extra Fun from the Library
Enrichment for May 4th
It's the Book Fair -Ish
Most of the paperbacks will cost around $5. Now, there is still tax, and there is still shipping: a flat rate of $6. I know money is a very serious topic in families because covid has changed a lot of budgets with the way it changed people's jobs. This is COMPLETELY optional. After all, we are all able to read amazing new ebooks on Myon and Epic for free.
If your family says yes to some new books, this would be a great way to get some while helping our school at the same time! This is the company that has such popular series as Unicorn Fairies, Hey Jack!, and the magic 1 pen coloring books. Click here for a menu of more types of books at the book fair!

'Zines
A 'zine is a mini magazine, usually hand made and about one topic.
I have a lesson all about it over at Spark if you'd like to give it a try. First you will need some art supplies. You MUST have these:
- scissors,
- a blank piece of computer paper (not construction paper! The shiny smooth kind),
- a pencil.
- watercolors,
- crayons,
- markers (fine tip if you have a choice),
- construction paper scraps,
- tissue paper scraps,
- glue,
- tiny piece of ribbon,
- washi tape,
- any ink stamps you like,
- stickers.
Science Connection
- infancy,
- metamorphosis,
- seed plants, or
- the carbon cycle.
BrainpopJR (Junior) has
- Butterflies,
- Frogs, and
- Plant Life Cycles.
Another website that's great is Mystery Science. Here a couple free resources you might enjoy there this week:
