Highlights of January
This month we have been deep in our winter benchmark assessments and welcoming our students back from break. Below are some highlights!
Our staff received some new shirts! Thank you to one of our parents, Ashley McBride with State Farm, for her generous donation! | Mrs. Hoff's class participated in The Idaho Forest Products Commissions annual essay contest about the importance of our forests. The students had to write a letter to the trees thanking them for something and promising to help them in the future. The three students won honorable mention out of all the age brackets (100s of students). | Our students have completed 10,000 iReady lessons!! Great job Otters! |

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is quite full! You are welcome to come and look for any items your child may be missing or encourage your child to check. We will also have it out at our Jammies in January for families to look for their lost items. Any items that are not claimed by February 1st will be donated to a local charity.
Jammies in January
We hope that everyone can join us Thursday, January 26th from 5:00-7:00 for our annual Jammies in January! Families are invited to wear their jammies and to come and play some math games together as a family. Each grade level will have games for families to enjoy! Your child will also bring home one game for you to keep at home to play as a family. There will be cookies and hot chocolate in the gym as well! We look forward to seeing you there!
Upcoming Bond Information
March 14 is an important election in our school district.
Voters are asked to consider a bond to fund the first phase of our 10-year building plan.
I sat down with Brian Graves of the Kuna School District office to talk about what the March 14th bond means for Indian Creek Elementary and for your child's future in our schools.
