Advisory Video
Dear students, students have worked with the advisory team to plan a video with discussion questions for advisory on May 10th and 13th. Please show support for our student leaders and Social Justice Union doing this work by participating in the discussion. We will have AST on these days.
Also, student leaders have booked Xusana Davis, the State of Vermont's Executive Director of Racial Equity, for a special presentation that will take place in advisories on May 24th and May 27th. There will be discussion questions for students during AST. This means we will not have AST on May 24th and May 27th.
Please support our student leaders and Social Justice Union by making sure all electronics are put away and you give the presentation and discussion your full attention. Thank you for your participation!
Upcoming College Visits
We have four upcoming opportunities for this month so far:
May 13: Bennington College, 10am
May 18: Saint John Fisher College (NY), 10am
May 18: The University of Tennessee - Knoxville, 10am
May 19: U.S. Army information meeting, 12:30pm
If you're not quite ready to think about colleges or other post-secondary opportunities you could still benefit by making a connection with an admissions representative. Consider it an opportunity to see what kinds of questions they ask and what kinds of information you will need to hone an "elevator speech" you can use to let the representative know how great you are!

Celebrating our Retiring Faculty and Staff
A group of faculty and staff members known as School Year’s Eve (SYE) have organized a number of events to celebrate our retiring community members.
Traditionally, we have celebrated a retiree with a Fan Friday. This year we will be hosting two Fan Days, Tuesday and Friday for retirees who wished to participate. Here is this years schedule:
5/18 & 5/21: David Rome -Bike Helmet or Bike Gear
5/25 & 5/28: Linda Cloutier-Namdar - Wear Red for Ed (Education, of course)
6/1 & 6/4: Adam Weiss -Wear a shirt that celebrates a musical artist you enjoy or a type of music you enjoy.
Our first Fan Days will be this coming Tuesday and Friday celebrating Mr. Rome!
Celebration Time
Let's celebrate the end of this unprecedented year on a high note. We are looking to celebrate the extraordinary work and effort put forth by both students and faculty/staff. To that end, we've created two new opportunities to recognize and horn anyone who is worthy. Students, staff, and the community are welcome to nominate someone for one of the following categories.
- Buzzworthy- a student who did something noteworthy that might have gone unrecognized until this point.
- Hornet Hero- Faculty or Staff that has gone above and beyond this year!
If you have any questions please contact Barb Isham or Paul Adams.

Living Wall by CTE
Thanks to the CTE team for putting together a Living wall prototype. CTE has worked hard on placing the plants and worked on an irrigation system so that the plants could thrive as a living wall.
