Happy Jackie Robinson Day!
Yes, it was last Friday but I still wanted to mention it. I love turning on baseball games and seeing ALL the players wearing Jackie Robinson's number (42). Did you know he lettered in four sports at UCLA? He was as remarkable of an athlete as he was a man.
This week our 11th and 12th graders are looking forward to our prom at the Reagan Library! The committee has worked hard to plan a special night for all students and their guests, Ball Classique will be a night to remember!
Have a great week Phoenix families!

Surveys (CHKS & WM)
The biannual California Healthy Kids Survey will be administered to all students in 9th and 11th grades during the week of May 3rd. This survey is voluntary for students and parent consent is passive. There will be a letter going home regarding the administration of the survey, if you do not want your student to take the survey, please return the letter to us.
At the same time, Waste Management has asked that a survey be make available to our 11th and 12th grader students. Their purpose is to better understand what this age group looks for and expects from an employer as they prepare to join tomorrow's workforce. Absolutely no information will be collected other than the answers, which are anonymous. This will also be a passive permission, if you do not want your student to take part, please let us know.
