Florida, which joined the union as the 27th state in 1845, is nicknamed the Sunshine State. Spanish explorer Juan Ponce DE Leon, who led the first European expedition to Florida in 1513, named the state in tribute to Spain's Easter celebration known as "Pascal Florida," or Feast of Flowers. The Town of Orlando was incorporated in 1875 with 85 inhabitants, 22 of whom were qualified voters.

Florida in general is a tourist filled state especially Orlando. People usually visit attractions such as Universal, Disney World; this creates new jobs for residents of the city. Residents enjoy pastimes such as boating and fishing in local lakes, visiting locations such as Wekiva State Park, Sanford Zoo etc.

Orlando residents enjoy sports like football, golf, and basketball which they play in the Amway Arena. The University of Central Florida (UCF) one of the most dynamic universities in the country that offers 212 degrees. The city of Orlando is known as “City of Beautiful”. It’s symbolized with a fountain at lake Eola where many residents visit with family and friends.

Florida has many different types of animals. They have a wide variety snakes and birds also many crocodiles and alligators. Wildlife causes residents to have fear of the wildlife because of Some fatal reports. The animal that most fascinated me was is the Florida Panther. They are near to Extinction because there are only 100-160 adults in south Florida. the reason i like them the most is the way they look and what they eat for their diet, they eat rabbit, raccoon, armadillo, and birds. Florida wildlife is very good for the ecosystem

in the city of Orlando where i reside there is a diverse mix of cultures primarily influenced by southern culture. Most recently the city has been influenced by the cultures of people moving in from foreign countries. Cultures from countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico etc. I was born in America so my flag is the American flag. My mother is Puerto Rican and my father is Filipino. I have adapted to some of their cultures and some of Americas. What i enjoy the most about being exposed to different cultures is the food.

My map

I marked my places because i enjoy them.

The things that make up my community is Hispanics and Caucasian races. Most of the kids in the community like and play basketball. The wildlife does affect the community by fear, they help us be more vigilant. The thing i dislike is how many people always talk about games and minecraft. I enjoy or like to go outside and play and other people do to but others stay on the internet and do nothing. I can do nothing at times its just i only do that when its raining or no one is outside so i go back in and do nothing.
