College Applications
You can start applying for college as early as July 1st 2023 for some universities.
Alamo Colleges applications open September 1st of your senior year.
*Remember you are applying as an UNDERGRADUATE FRESHMAN for Fall 2024*

How to Request a transcript to be sent to a college
You must request a transcript to be sent to EACH college you are applying to.
ALL transcripts are ordered and paid for online - $3 per transcript request. nisdtx.scriborder.com
Step 1. Click on Current Student
Step 2. Enter all items with a red star *
Step 3. Make sure you click on the blue link “ADD DELIVERY ADDRESS” and select Educational Institution, then enter the college/university name, it should pop up and show a green check mark, if you are sending to more than one college, select "Add Additional Address" or "Save and Close." You should see the name of the college listed.
**If you need the transcript for yourself or for a scholarship, select "Other" then enter your name and address, then Save and Close.
*If you are using CommonApp, enter the Common Application Number, if not, leave it blank.
*If you are sending to NCAA, enter your number, if not, leave it blank.
Step 4. Select College, HS Transcript, Enter your Initials and Prepare for checkout.
You will receive an email to your personal email account immediately.
Transcript Requests
Did you take Dual Credit or OnRamps courses? You will need to submit transcripts for Northwest Vista College and/or UT. Please keep in mind, after you graduate, you will need to request final transcripts as well!

Applying for Financial Aid
The 2024-2025 financial aid (FAFSA/TASFA) application will open by December 31, 2023.
You will use the 2022 1040 tax information for parents and students.
The first step in the financial aid application process will be to create an FSA ID for the student and one for one parent. Once you have both FSA ID's, you will go to studentaid.gov and begin the FAFSA.
Below are different types of financial aid you may be eligible for when you complete the FAFSA.
If you have questions regarding your eligibility to apply for financial aid, contact Mrs. Torres in the career center or the financial aid office at the college or university you plan to attend.
