News from Mrs. Kott
Thank you to all of the families that were able to join us for the Artome Art Show! It is wonderful to see your children showing off their artwork. What a great addition to the show with the Davisburg Art Leadership Team helping us with some art activities. Huge gratitude to Mrs. Marchbanks for putting together such an an awesome event!
We are done with M-Step testing! I am so proud of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. They did a great job taking their time, focusing and doing their best. If they didn’t already tell you, ask them about the personal note of encouragement they got from a Davisburg staff member.
With every “Good Morning” at the start of the day, and each “See you tomorrow” at the end of the day, I am blessed with smiles, hugs and high fives. It is an absolute joy to be at Davisburg! I really am the luckiest Principal ever!
Have a great weekend!

The Leader in Me at Home
The Leader in Me Section: The Importance of Goals
Research has shown that the simple act of writing a goal greatly increases the chances of accomplishing the goal. If the goal is broken down into action steps and the action steps are tracked, goals have an even greater percentage of success. At school, your child sets academic and personal goals. You will gain a lot of information on how your child is doing if you ask your child to tell you about his or her goals. Many of our students write goals in a Leadership Notebook.
This idea can also be used in your home. Create goals such as reading together, eating dinner at the table, or completing a task together. Involve everyone in the family in choosing a meaningful goal and action steps. Post the goal and the action steps in a visible place and be sure to track and celebrate progress!
