Spring Conferences

Secondary conferences are on May 12 and 13 this year.

Originally, conferences were scheduled on April 21 and 22; however, the secondary team felt that these dates were too near the start of the hybrid program and wanted to give students more time to acclimate to the new routines prior to conferences. The elementary team held to the original dates as they entered hybrid earlier.

Some items to know for conferences:

  • Use sign-up.com https://signup.com/group/8671878460114 to register for a conference
  • Conference times: 5/12 - 4 to 8pm and 5/13 - 10am to 8am
  • All students will prepare for conferences with their homeroom teacher
  • Some students will be assigned a different homeroom teacher to facilitate their conference to balance numbers. The teacher facilitator will be a known teacher of the student with whom they currently work.
  • Conferences are virtual. Students will be shown how to help parents login.

Spring Concert!

Our Choir and Band students will host a Spring Virtual Choir & Band Concert on June 15th. The performances will be similar in format to the fall concert where students pre-recorded their parts at home. Visual media will be a combination of student footage, as well as art and images to fit nicely with the music for you to enjoy.

AVID

AVID is a new program to North Marion Middle School and we are excited to join the thousands of schools all over the United States that are AVID schools!! It is an elective class for 7th-grade students that focuses on building academic skills to be successful in school, learn about future careers and colleges, and participate in fun team-building activities! AVID students also get to go on college visits and fun field trips throughout the year. If you are interested in participating in AVID and you are a 7th-grade student, please contact Kelsey Brown at kelsey.brown@nmarion.k12.or.us.
