Special Person Day at SCS

On March 6, 2020, 4th- 8th grade, and on April 3, Pre-K3-3rd grade, will be hosting Special Person Day at Saint Catharine School to honor the special individuals who are near and dear to our hearts. Our schedule of events will be as follows:

8:30-8:50- Check-in at the Carport on Pennsylvania Avenue

9:00-10:00- First Friday Mass with your student

10:00-10:45- A visit to your student’s classroom for a

fun activity and snack

Please note, if your special person requires any accommodations in entering the building, please call the Main office in advance so we may make arrangements. Additionally, special persons are limited to a special adult in your child's life (ex: grandparent, aunt, uncle, mom, dad, etc)


St. Catharine School 2020-2021 Re-Registration Process

Re-Registration for 2020-2021

Families who re-register their children by the February 15, 2020 deadline will pay a non-refundable $50 per family registration fee. Re-Registrations received after this date will pay a $250 per family registration fee. In addition, all students K-8 are required to pay a non-refundable $150 technology fee. In addition all families are required to complete a FACTS tuition agreement and select a payment plan for each student enrolled. The cost of your FACTS account depends on the payment plan selected: annual (no fee), semi-annual ($10), quarterly ($45) and monthly ($45). All payments will be processed through FACTS – all payment plans begin July 1st. The FACTS link is

Your re-registration will not be complete unless your FACTS agreement is complete, re-registration and technology fees paid and all prior year tuition paid in full.

Financial Aid - The Diocese and the St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish will once again offer a limited amount of financial assistance for qualified families through FACTS. In order to be considered for financial aid: registration must be complete. all tuition up to date, and all required tax information submitted to FACTS. The deadline for the first round of financial aid is 2/14/20 and the final round 5/15/20.

Tuition - Tuition for the 2020-2021 school year will be $5,900 per student K-8 regardless of parishioner status. The actual cost to educate a St. Catharine Student is estimated to be $8,500 per student. The $2,600 tuition difference between what you are asked to pay and this number is subsidized directly by St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish. Your stewardship and contributions to the Parish, SCS PTA and SC Athletic Club are essential to allow us to maintain this policy.

If you are able to pay the full cost to educate your student this tax deductible contribution will go directly toward St. Catharine School for tuition assistance or the program of your choice. Checks may be made directly to St. Catharine School.

Refund Policy - A student who voluntarily withdraws from St. Catharine School will receive a partial tuition refund (based on 100% of the school year tuition) according to the following schedule:

  • Withdrawal by September 1st - 30% of tuition due to school

  • Withdrawal October 1st - 40% of tuition due to school

  • Withdrawal November 1st - 50% of tuition due to school

  • Withdrawal December 1st - 60% of tuition due to school

  • Withdrawal after December 1st - Full tuition is due to school

8th grade girls volunteers needed at our Mother Son Outing
