Parents,

First, I would like to thank you for entrusting your children to us for face to face learning. It was wonderful seeing so many of our students return to Butler Elementary. It has been a long five months and our hallways were too quiet and empty!

The first day of school was a success! Staff and students were getting acclimated to new procedures and routines. By the second day we were in our groove! Thank you for your kindness and patience as we implemented our new way of coming to school!

If your child is in need of a mask or two, we have had many donated to us by community organizations. Please contact Miss Sally or Mrs. Nickoli if your child needs additional mask. We will make sure they receive one. If you child arrives to school without a mask, one will be provided to them. So far our families have been spectacular remembering! Thank you!

Finally, if you ever need to refer to our safety procedures, protocols, and health department scenarios, click on the Butler Elementary tab of the District website and re read our August 2020 Newsletter or go to https://cfcolts.org/

Captain America was in Butler for our first day of school!

Butler Elementary students were able to meet Captain America on their first day of school! He was here to help our K-2 students learn how to arrive, wash their hands, and find their classrooms. The smiles we saw on our students faces was priceless!

Playground Information

If you are a local family whose children play on our playground after school hours, we would like to ask that you remind your children they cannot come and play until 3:00. Our preschool classes are still in session until 2:30 and they may be playing outside. In addition, we are sanitizing at the end of the day. Our goal is to keep kids safe!

Thank you for your help!

Please charge your Chromebooks

This year we have had to disable our Chromebook carts so that the Chromebooks can be sent home on a moments notice in case our Governor moves schools to Remote Learning. When the Chromebook is sent home, please charge it and return to school the next day.

It is important to note that we have software that tracks what students search and will receive an email flagging their account. Please remind your children of this. Our goal is to keep them safe!

We are still missing 47 books from last year. Our teachers have sent home letters that tell you what titles are still checked out under your child's name. Please send them in so your child may check out new ones this year. If you can't find them, you may pay to replace them. Send check or cash in an envelope and Miss Sally will process this. Thank you!

Students may not check out new books this year until they are returned or paid for.
