The Friday Flyer
From Boone Meadow Elementary School
From the Eagles' Nest:
Dear Boone Meadow Families -
- Thank you to staff and families for the incredible STEM Night on Thursday evening. More than 300 attended this highly successful event. STEM challenges, games, and varied experiences created a beautiful evening spent with families.
- Tomorrow morning, our DAD's Club hosts "Doughnuts and Dodgeball" beginning at 9:00. Various games and experiences to be had for Boone Meadow families wishing to attend.
- Kindergarten students held a "Super Reading Power Parade" through the building to celebrate their acquisition of strategies and skills to become "Super Readers." How amazing to watch these young learners grow in their confidence and skill as lifelong readers.
On another note -
At Boone Meadow, we are passionate about helping all students reach their potential. As a member in this community, as a fellow parent, as a colleague, I am driven to help our youth be the best they can be academically, socially, and emotionally. It takes a united team to influence that goal, and I recognize that I am surrounded by incredible educators and mentors within this school, as well as, engaged and involved families throughout our community that assist in making such amazing things happen.
Our Life Goals (Treat People Right; Do the Right Thing) are more than a suggestion. They are truly "rules" within our building to foster and guide our students toward civility, mutual respect, and honorable action not only within our building, but outside our walls. Some days are harder than others when we try to instill those values. Thank you for partnering with us to carry the message that all children are bearers of promise and that they can impact the world around them in powerful and positive ways.
May we all display gratitude during this time of THANKSGIVING.
Enjoy your weekend,

Lifelines for the Month of November:
School Visitor Check-Ins at ZCS
Please be aware that we use a visitor management system known as SafeVisitor. SafeVisitor is a 30-45 second check-in process that cross references against all national sex offender registries and prints a visitor badge. Please be prepared to scan a government issued ID (Driver License) when arriving to campus as a visitor or volunteer. The printed badge should be visible at all times while in the building. Thank you!
Please note: Full background checks are still required field trips. Full background checks cost $15.95 and take at least 7-10 days to process. Limited background checks are still required for lunch visits, volunteering in a supervised area, etc.
All volunteers in our district are also required to complete the bullying module, consisting of a short video and a digital signature as proof of watching the video. This video must be watched for either level of volunteer (Full or Limited). Please click here to visit the BRAVO/Volunteers page where all of these items can be completed.
