ECHS Teacher of the Year!!

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs. Picazo!!! She was recently selected among her colleagues as the 2021 ECHS Teacher of the year!!

From the words of her Peers:

Mrs. Picazo is an amazing teacher and represents our campus perfectly. She meets students where they are and encourages them through the years. Long after students have left her room she continues to build the relationships and show the students they always have a safe place with her. Mrs. Picazo has a willingness to learn and grow as an educator and is constantly figuring out how to grow. Whenever there is a need on campus Amar is the first person to offer to help and will never ask for anything in return. Mrs. Picazo finds great ways to acknowledge students' hard work, she ensures that students' work does not go unnoticed. She is inspirational as a colleague and challenges herself for the betterment of her students. She is a true embodiment of our ECHS mission, Hard Work, Opportunity, Personal Courage and Effort (H.O.P.E)!!

Counselor Updates

Attention Juniors

We are now in TSI Math testing season for 11th-grade students. The first round of TSI testing is similar to when we test you during Summer Bridge before starting your ECHS journey.

Testing dates: 2/21/20 and 2/28/20- emails will be sent to notify you of your specific date.

If you are able to pass with a 350 or higher in the first round, you will be set. If you do not meet the passing score, please do not stress about it just yet! The first attempt is intended to gauge your skill level. Our Math team will work together to develop intervention plans for the remainder of the year on Fridays. Attendance to these interventions is required in order to attempt the exam again.

As a reminder: Economics (Fall 2020) and Statistics (Spring 2021) require Math TSI compliance prior to enrollment.

Attention Juniors and Seniors

If you have not had your individual counseling session for this year, I will be scheduling those during your AVID classes. I will notify you before the meeting so that if your parents want to join either in person or via a phone conference, we can set that up.

Great News!!

Student Council is working on a new initiative to help improve announcement communication within the student body. Many students are over at ACC during the morning announcements, which results in several students missing out what's happening on campus.

Starting this Friday, Student Council will be making a series of announcement slides called "Talk Of Our Flock" or TOOF! Presentations will be shared via Families on Fridays. Visit the link below!
