Holly Academy News & Views
January 20, 2023

As we start the second semester of this school year, we do so with an appreciation for the coaches that dedicated their time to our fall sports programs. These individuals base their coaching on the fundamentals of the sport, being effective teammates, and displaying outstanding sportsmanship. This tried and true approach ensures that our athletes understand that being a member of a team consists of much more than winning a game or tournament.
Unlike most traditional school districts, HA students are afforded the opportunity to play league sports in fifth grade. Our JV teams typically are comprised of fifth and sixth graders, and our Varsity teams typically include seventh and eighth graders. Being able to offer team sports prior to middle school sets HA apart from our local districts.
A huge THANK YOU to the following coaches:
Coed soccer: Rob Roney
Girls volleyball: Emily and Dave Cryderman
JV boys basketball: Dan Verdun
Varsity boys basketball: Tina Craven, Travis Craven, and Jason Grant
Cheerleading: Tracy Roney
As always, THANK YOU to our Athletic Directors, Angie Cryderman, and Jose Melero, for the countless hours they spend planning, organizing, and scheduling our various sports programs.
We look forward to our JV and Varsity girls' basketball seasons and cross country in the spring.
It's great to be a Husky!
