Get Into the Mix in D6!
An update from your student's 7th Grade Math Class!
Dear Parents & Guardians:
We have done SO much since the last update - I don't know where to begin! Your students did a wonderful job learning all about ratios, proportions, and percentages. Now, we are moving into our geometry units. Our first unit was all about angles. Ask your students to find adjacent, vertical, complementary or supplementary angles at home (I was able to find some in my kitchen!). I think you'll be impressed to hear what they have to say and learn from them. We moved on to triangles, quadrilaterals, composite figures and three-dimensional figures all in a few weeks.
Your students also completed the first part of the PARCC assessment - yes, just the first part, which implies there is a second part. Not to worry - only two days in May and they will be PARCC-free for the next 10 months! I am very proud of ALL of my students for working so hard throughout testing and doing the absolute best job they could!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions leading up to the end of the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with your students during our final marking period together!
Enjoy the warmer weather - FINALLY!
Best regards,
Ms. Amanda V. Pienciak
