All schedules will go live on August 21st in Infinite Campus.

The classes students are taking will dictate the specific school supplies they need. Teachers will have this information available to students and families at Open House and the first day of school.

Students should plan to bring writing utensils, a notebook, and a folder for the first day of school.

It is recommended that all math students have a TI 84 calculator.

Mankato West Textbook & Chromebook Distribution Schedule

Everything available to students on kick-off days will also be available to students at our Open House on August 30 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. If you are unable to attend kick-off days and open house, please call the office and we can arrange a time for you to pick up the materials you need. Taking school pictures will not be available at other times, but students will be able to have their picture taken on the picture make-up/retake day in September.

If you need your Chromebook early for your PSEO course(s), you can pick up the device on Tuesday, August 15th in the West Media Center: 11am - 12pm. If this time doesn't work for you, please email icsupport@isd77.org by August 14.

If you do not plan on using your Mankato Area Public School Chromebook this year, please email icsupport@isd77.org. Reminder that you will need your MAPS Chromebook to access Mankato Area Schools internet during the day.

You are always welcome to pick up your Chromebook during Kick-Off Days or Open House Night.

Another Save the Date...the fall PAC (parent, athlete, coach) meeting will take place Monday, August 14th at 6:00pm.

Is your calendar filling up? Here's another date to add...Open House, Wednesday August 30th, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

Students and families are invited to take a walk through the school, meet your teachers, and hear a little bit more about your classes. For 9th grade families, and any families who are new to West High School, we will have an informational meeting in the auditorium beginning at 6:30pm.

Wednesday, August 30th is 9th grade orientation day. Our Link Crew leaders will help welcome the Class of 2027 and will support their transition to high school. Typically, 98% of the freshmen class attends, so you don't want to miss out! Link Crew will be contacting freshman families with additional information about this awesome opportunity.

Tuesday, September 5th is the first day of school! School beings at 8:45am.

We will begin our day with an all school welcome assembly in the auditorium. Can't wait to see everyone back at school!

Friday, September 8th is Subs on the Sidewalk. We will have an extended lunch period with the whole school engaging in one big picnic. Students will have the opportunity to check out all of the sports, activities, and student clubs we offer at West. Students will be challenged to sign up for at least activity.

Our goal is to have every student involved in at least one school activity. Activities are a great way to engage in our school community!
