Progress reports, the MAP Data Family Report, and a demographic form are coming home today with your student(s). Please review these items, and contact your students' teachers if you have any questions. The demographic form should be filled out and returned to your student's first period teacher Monday.

Our Mendenhall campus has received some exciting new updates. Our building exterior now boasts three attractive awnings located above our main entrance, the middle school cafeteria entrance, and the elementary cafeteria entrance. Picture perfect!

Elementary parents: starting Monday, September 20th, please pull all the way forward to the elementary school awning during morning drop off as students will now be entering directly into the cafeteria.

The MSE Girls Volleyball team is looking for some more players! If you are able to commit to playing 2-3 days a week please let Ms. Doyle know by email at or stop by her classroom (Room 313). All experience levels welcome!

Operation Drop Off

If you've been looking for ways to give back to the community, here's your opportunity! MSE Mendenhall will be hosting a uniform drive from Wednesday, September 8th until Friday, October 8th. Donations will be accepted on campus from 8am until 4pm every week day during that timeframe. See the flyer below for more details.

PTO Meeting

Monday, Sep. 13th, 4pm

Elementary Cafeteria, MSE

The Parent-Teacher Organization will be having its first meeting Monday, September 13th at 4pm. This meeting will be held in the Elementary Cafeteria. There is a one-time $10.00 fee to join the organization, which will be due on that date. Questions can be sent to Patty Farmer, PTO President:

Adult ESL Classes on Offer

Adult ESL class registration is being held on Tuesday, September 14th, and Wednesday, September 15th, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Treadwell Elementary and Hickory Ridge Middle. Flyers are attached in English, Spanish, French and Vietnamese.

Seedco: Free Medical Coverage for Families!

Seedco is a non-profit organization that has served the MidSouth Region for more than 15 years in responding to the community's needs.

Connecting West TN Kids to Coverage (CKC) is a program committed to helping families with children have access to full health medical coverage at no cost.

Low-income people, children up to 19 years old, pregnant women with any immigration status, people with disabilities, and some adults with dependent children at home are eligible. Children receive medical, dental and vision coverage.

Our services are free to everyone and the coverage is free as well.

Tutoring Schedule

MSE Mendenhall is happy to announce that we are offering weekly tutoring hours for all subjects and grade levels. We believe that the availability of one-on-one support from the classroom teacher is an integral component of a quality education, so if you suspect your student could benefit from extra support in one of his or her classes, please communicate your wishes by reaching out to your child's teacher.
