The Tiger Times
Week of January 22 through January 26
Hello Tiger Family!
I wanted to share a video with you that I "re-found" this weekend. Rita Pierson's words made me reflect on the work we do at Timberline every day. I'm always on the lookout for books, videos, and webinars that challenge us to think about the work and the way we do the work of supporting our students. It's part of reflecting and shining our light.
However, it's always nice when you find things that affirm so completely what we do and why we do it. I encourage you to watch this short TedTalk. Sometimes it feels like the little things we do aren't making a difference but they are.
YOU are.
Blessed and blissed to be your principal-
Shelley

The excerpt is an overview of the 8 strategies with each of the subsequent chapters providing more detail and examples for putting the strategy into practice for tutoring but also the implications for Tier 1 instruction. You can find the excerpt here.
