What's Happening at Ramirez

May 2, 2021 Edition

Happy Sunday Ramirez Families!

Welcome to the month of May!

May stands out in my mind as a month filled with days set aside to show appreciation.

I want to start this week by appreciating mothers. The selfless individuals, who know when to hold close, and when to stand back. Who sacrifice time, health, energy, and their very essence to give their children the chance to become all they were created to be. Who daily make courageous choices to benefit their children and families. Their love is freely given while expecting nothing in return. Moms you are too often our unsung heroes and today I want to sing your praises and let you know you are beautiful, beloved, valued, and deeply appreciated!

Whether you are able to hold your mom close physically or you hold her in your heart, our lives have been indelibly shaped by her tenderness and high hopes for us.
I'd Like To Thank My Mom

Show Appreciation and Say Thank You Every Day This Week

Simple Instructions:

  1. Each day intentionally thank someone for who they are.
  2. The person can be anyone at all from your spouse to your co-worker to the person bagging your groceries.
  3. Make your praise specific. Tell them exactly why you appreciate them!

Week of May 10th - May 14th

While Monday, May 3rd is national Teacher's Appreciation Day, we celebrate our entire staff the week of May 10th - May 14th. Every day, we have themed goodies for our staff. This is a terrific time to show appreciation to your child's teacher, to their instructional support person, to office staff, to custodial staff, to campus security, or to school counselors.

It takes a VILLAGE to support our students learning and to create a safe, welcoming environment.

Thank you for joining us in honoring our staff next week!

Explore Eastvale!

Looking for ways to get involved in the Eastvale community???

Dear Eastvale Family,

The Explore Eastvale! campaign is now live! From April 15, 2021 through May 10, 2021, we are calling all residents, community champions, business leaders, faith leaders, youth groups, scouts, students, and active living enthusiasts to volunteers to walk, run, or ride our streets and complete a short survey. The feedback we receive will be used to inform the Eastvale 2040 Plan.

We need to understand from the commUNITY what it is like to use our streets. Are our streets safe, welcoming and inclusive to everyone in our commUNITY? What is important to make our commUNITY better? Let’s get out and explore our neighborhoods, evaluate our streets and connect with our neighbors!

Anyone taking the survey can use the online tool (https://engage.eastvaleca.gov/eastvale2040/survey_tools/explore-eastvale) to select specific half-mile major street segments (or selected as many segments as they’d like) and answer several short questions about their experience and observations. Videos and photos can also upload!

The online tool can also be accessed by scanning the QR Code on the attached flyer. Please forward the flyer to all of your Eastvale family, friends, and colleagues and encourage them to volunteer!

If anyone has any questions, please reach out to Gina or me. We hope to see you out exploring our streets!

Sincerely,
