STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
Tuesday, May 2, the PTO would like to request children to bring a SINGLE STEM FLOWER to school as a gift for their teachers - the teachers will then have a gorgeous arrangement of flowers on their desks to remind them they are appreciated. Thank you!
MAY 1-12 PLASTIC LID AND CAP DRIVE
Student Council and Girl Scout Troop 1203 have teamed up to hold a plastic lid drive to help an elementary school in Flora, Indiana that is collecting lids to make 4 benches from recycled plastic. The class that brings in the most weight in lids and caps will win a popcorn party sponsored by Troop 1203. PLEASE SEND THOSE LIDS IN AND THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!

If your child is a current student at FCE, you do not need to re-enroll for next year. If your family will be relocating over the summer and not returning to FCE in August, please let the front office know.

KINDERGARTEN LEMONADE SALE
Kindergarten students will be selling lemonade for $.50 during FCE field day to all 1st-4th graders on Friday, May 19th. Students plan to use the profits to purchase more seating options in the outdoor learning environment.

Anyone wishing to volunteer in the school must have a SafeVisitor ID Badge. Please note this policy also applies to anyone wishing to join students for lunch. Simply follow the quick link on our FCE website to apply for a background check. This process takes 5-7 days.

Knights Cheerleader Call-outs
We welcome all current 4th and 5th grade students to try out for the Knights Travel Cheer Team for the upcoming 2017 season. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 12 pm @ Fishers High School Aux Gym. A mandatory clinic is scheduled for Friday, May 12th from 6 – 8 pm. Parents must attend an informational meeting Friday during the clinic.
2017 Knights Travel Football Cheerleading
* No Pre-registration necessary. You will complete a registration for S.P.O.R.T.S cheer at the parent meeting. Payment must be made before tryouts (no checks will be cashed prior to results)
* Attendance at Clinic is Mandatory to be eligible to make the team
* Grades Eligible 5th-6th for upcoming 2017-2018 school year
* Practice twice a week starting June until the start of school
* Games are every Saturday from August- October (including Labor Day Weekend and Fall Break)
* Team Cost Estimated $300.00 (including registration fees)
* Uniform/Practice Wear/Warm Ups/Back-Pack & Coaching (Discounted used uniform pieces will be available on a first come basis)
* Cheerleaders are judged on Side Line Cheer, Jumps, Motions, Appearance and Enthusiasm!
* Tumbling ability is only worth extra credit points/ It is not a requirement to make team
* Knights Cheer encourages strong academics. Bring a copy of your report card for extra credit points!
