eAchieve Academy November Newsletter
Welcome
eAchieve Students and Families -
Welcome to the November installment of our eAchieve Academy Newsletter! We are just past the quarter mark in the 2023-24 school year and we hope everyone has found their school routine and are finding ways to balance school and home life. We are quickly approaching our Thanksgiving break and during that time we will be reflecting on everything we are thankful for and hope that you can use the time to reconnect with friends and family, take a break and come back to school rejuvenated and ready to tackle December!
Quarter Progress Reports were sent on 11/10 to all 6-12 grade students and families. Please take some time to review these as a family and make a plan to get back on track if needed or stay on track. Please remember there is still plenty of time to turn the semester around and be successful. If you feel like you need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers, counselors, office staff or administrator. We are all here to help!!
November 13th was World Kindness Day! It has been proven that kindness can increase energy, serotonin, happiness, and the human lifespan. Kindness can also decrease pain, anxiety, depression, and blood pressure! What better time than around Thanksgiving to think of various kinds of things you can do for others?
Thanks for all of the wonderful work happening throughout eAchieve and have a fantastic end of November!!

Important Dates

Blackboard remains open during all breaks, so you can still turn in assignments during this time, but please don't expect a response to email or to see your work graded during a break.
Quarter Progress Reports
A big shout out to our students for all of the assignments they turned in prior to progress report time.
Another big shout out to our teachers who worked hard to give accurate accounts of student progress and participation for Quarter 1.
You should have already received your Quarter 1 progress report in the mail. If you didn’t, please contact Jan West jwest@waukesha.k12.wi.us.
Since this will be the only progress report mailed home before the end of the semester, we ask you to review it together as a family and make a plan to stay on pace or to get back on track until the end of the semester. One strategy that many families are finding helpful is to use the google calendar that is part of students' gmail accounts. By scheduling time on their calendars for learning, studying, work completion, and eSession attendance, and sharing them with the family, students are able to see their learning pathway each week. In turn, parents can check and provide reminders or inquiries about progress towards specific goals or scheduled events keeping things positive and productive for everyone.
Below are charts that explain all of the abbreviation in the quarter progress and quarter participation.

eAchieve Family Outings Survey
Thank you to everyone who responded to our survey about school outings this school year! Your input is important to us as we plan events for students and families. Over 100 people have completed the survey so far. If you are interested in completing the survey, you can click here!
Publication Club & the Phoenix Review
Over the past few weeks, 16 of our High School students have started the works of a school-wide publication called Phoenix Review! The Phoenix Review created by Publication Club is replacing both Yearbook Club and the eAchieve Academy Yearbook publication. There will be no yearbook club and no yearbook this school year.
Instead, our Phoenix Review publication is a student-created publication for ALL students, grades 4K-12. How exciting! The Phoenix Review is a FREE DIGITAL publication that will have Fall/Winter and Spring editions for each school year.
The Publication Club is currently looking for student submissions for the Fall/Winter 2023 Phoenix Review. If you are interested in submitting content for the Phoenix Review, please click here! All submissions are due no later than Sunday, December 3rd.
If you have any questions about the Publication Club and/or the Phoenix Review, please email Ms. Satari at msatari@waukesha.k12.wi.us
High School Winter Formal
We are partnering with Waukesha South for our winter formal (for students in grades 9-12). You will have an opportunity to buy tickets and attend this fun high school event. More details to come after Winter Break.
