Wear your Frozen T-Shirt Day! Show cast unity!

WELCOME HOME!

Hello Descendants Family,

We are so incredibly excited to see all of you and make magic with you! We hope you've had a restful few weeks and gearing up for an adventurous start to the week.

We know tomorrow is going to be a long day for many of us! The start of the new school year coupled with the start of our fall minicamp will equal some long hours. But we can not wait to see you! Miss Ann and Mr. Johnson have some awesome first day activities planned, including getting immediately to work on "Disney's Descendant's".

ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION METHOD: REMIND

We have set up a "REMIND" group for Descendants. There were a few times in the summer where we needed to send out urgent, quick reminders, and this will do that. Your phone numbers will remind private, but you will receive a text message from us directly to your phone regarding critical updates. We will still be using 'Smore, however REMIND will be used for critical reminders or updates.

Please join our REMIND group by texting the number 81010 the join code: @rrpabbfall

REMINDER

HELP KEEP EVERYONE SAFE. If you or anyone in your family is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. STAY HOME. If you have been in contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms. STAY HOME. Please help us keep our families and community safe. We will be sure to catch you up on anything you missed. SAFETY MATTERS!

How to Prespare?

Below is a list of items that we are requesting for the first day!

  1. A Reusable Water Bottle that is unique and clearly marked with your child's name.
  2. Movement Clothes! You will be dancing a lot.
  3. Jazz Shoes or Tennis Shoes for movement.
  4. A Mask

Safety Procedures

1. Staff will arrive at 4:30 pm in order to disinfect and clean the facility. All doorknobs, bathrooms, and water fountain buttons are cleaned with Micro-Ban a 24 Disinfectant that continues killing viruses for 24 hours.

The Cast and Crew may start arriving at 5:45 pm.

2. Please remain in your cars outside of entrance A3. You will be greeted by your teachers, and checked in after temperature checks. Please stay in your car. Campers will roll down their windows while temperature checks and COVID-19 symptom questions are made.

3. We will try to spend, weather permitting, time outdoors, with frequent breaks. When not outside, we will be in large spaces where students can spread out including the Cafeteria, and Auditorium.

5. Please make sure to wear masks while in the building.

CAST LIST

The directing team, Miss Ann, Miss Katie, Miss Janoschka, and Mr. Parker, all met on Saturday and watched and discussed every students strengths and areas of growth. Casting is the hardest thing a directing team has to do. Students are placed in roles where the directing team believes the students will grow the most. If you have any casting questions about your child please do not hesitate to reach out to Miss Ann at ann.devine@rockridgeperformingarts.org. We very much look forward to seeing ALL of you tomorrow!

DESCENDANTS RELEASE OF LIABILITY - PLEASE FILL OUT BEFORE 1ST DAY

Clear Bins

CLEAR BINS

We request that all students bring their materials in a clear bin. No book bags. This allows us to help students quickly and efficiently find materials. Additionally, the clear bin is a great way for students to store things in a tidy way. Please do not bring book bags to the program. We strongly recommend a bin that is large enough to fit a folder, a lunch box, shoes, make-up, and misc. items.

Here is the Link we are recommending from Amazon.
