Western Primary School News
Dear Western Primary Parents/Guardians,
Next Wednesday is Literacy Night at Western Primary. You and your student are invited to attend a grade level session which will be lead by our Reading Specialist, Jessica Hollingsworth. Mrs. Hollingsworth will share proven strategies for reading at home. You can also shop the Scholastic Book Fair, grab some popcorn, and enter to win some prizes!
Next Wednesday is also World Read Aloud Day! Throughout the day we have scheduled guest readers to join classrooms and read aloud. We keep track of every book read and see how many books we can listen to in one day! Last year together our school read 153 books! We are excited to see how many we can read this year!
Coming up in March, we will have our Kindergarten Roundup to enroll new Kindergarten students for the 24-25 school year. If you have friends or family members with children who will be 5 years old before August 1st of this year, please share the information with them. They must sign up for an appointment. Kindergarten Roundup will take place on March 6th from 12:00-6:00 pm. Thank you for your help in finding our newest Panthers.
Thank you for your ongoing support in making Western Primary School a wonderful place for our students.Don't hesitate to reach out with any question or concern. Together we make the best team to support your student in their education!
All the Best,

The Book Fair is making a grand return to Western Primary! We can hardly contain our excitement as the Scholastic Book Fair rolls in next week from February 5th to 9th.
During their Library time, students will have the chance to explore the fantastic literary wonders on display.
Get ready for a modern twist with our new "Ewallet" feature! This allows you to conveniently provide electronic funds for your child to spend. Keep an eye on your inbox for an email guiding you through the quick and easy setup process. You can also find a QR code on the back of the Scholastic flyer sent home with your child today, making the setup a breeze!
